Where I’m writing
Columnist
Fun fact about me, I had a column in Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine. A friend and I wrote jokes about Minnesota life. Politics, hot dish, and a few out of the way subjects.
Editor/Staff Writer
This one I’m especially proud of. With two other editors, I helped create a comedy site that caters to our very weird state. We read headlines, edit drafts, and run comedic writer’s workshops.

Theater Critique
This one was a surprise. For over two years I’ve worked as a theater critique for mnplaylist.com. Watching shows, writing reviews, and witnessing the work of the Twin Cities theater has always been a pleasure. From black boxes to the Guthrie, I’ve seen it all.
Director/Associate Producer
I get to produce and direct one of the largest news shows in the state. It’s incredible work that gives me a lot of joy. The only downside is I start work at 4 am.
Videos I’ve created
Sometimes people pay me to make videos. This happens as either a comedian or as a comedic copywriter. Below are a few samples of my work.
Works I’ve had published
Icarus
Icarus Holmes is a painter in the slums of Chicago whose life takes a drastic turn when his drug dealer offers him a choice that, whatever his decision, forces him to examine the consequences of every choice he has made in his life before it, even while navigating its absurd aftermath. From Chicago to Turkey to New York to worlds that exist only in certain possibilities, Icarus discovers both his true past, and how much control he has over his future.
Meanwhile, in another possibility, Cemone Holmes has just earned her second doctorate. Her scientific discoveries earn her admission into a cabal of intellectuals that monitors the progress of contemporary events to discern the destiny of the world. As Icarus reacts to a changed reality, Cemone acts to uncover the cabal’s true aims and to shift the course of possibility in her favor.
Does’ Run
Neil Edlow isn't a private detective, a cop, or any kind of flatfoot; he's just a poor guy with a knack for finding missing kids. When the St. Paul Police offer Edlow a reward for clues pertaining to the deaths of several John and Jane Does Edlow jumps at the chance to make a quick buck. Hitting the frosty streets, Edlow looks for a group of people the city doesn't even know is missing.
When a young comic is given his big break he is forced to question the morality of who he works for and how it might affect his career.
